School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Jersey City, New Jersey

This opportunity is suited for an RN or LPN/LVN with pediatric experience seeking a contract position near Jersey City, NJ. Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license required
• Minimum of one year pediatric nursing experience (school-based experience preferred)
• Comfortable providing 1:1 care and engaging with students, families, and school teams
• Reliable and punctual for early morning and mid-afternoon schedules
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Able to ride the school bus to and from home with the student

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to a designated student from pick-up to drop-off
• Monitor and address medical needs throughout the school day, following health care plans and protocols
• Administer medications, manage treatments, and respond to emergencies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and changes in student’s health status
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to support the student’s educational and health needs
• Advocate for student health and safety in the school and on transportation
