School Registered Nurse (RN) in Jersey City, NJ

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment serving schools as a Registered Nurse in a prominent district near Jersey City, NJ. This full-time opportunity spans the academic calendar through June 25, 2027, with two immediate openings. Your expertise will support students and staff across multiple school buildings, contributing to a healthy, safe learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active NJ School Nursing (RN) licensure required
• A minimum of one year school-based RN experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage and service caseloads within a school or district setting
• Comfortable providing coverage and coordinating care district-wide
• Reliable transportation and proximity to the commute are essential
• Willingness to complete onboarding requirements, including TB screening, physical, and fingerprinting for both agency and district clearance
• Only Registered Nurse (RN) candidates are eligible; LPNs will not be considered

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, assessing and addressing acute and chronic health concerns
• Administer daily medications and manage emergency medical situations
• Maintain and document accurate health records in compliance with district, state, and federal policies
• Educate students and staff on disease prevention and health promotion
• Participate in IEP/504 planning for students with special health needs
• Monitor health protocols district-wide and consult regularly with administration
• Oversee multiple school sites, ensuring each building’s health office operates efficiently

Assignment Details:

• 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:15AM-3:15PM
• District-wide float coverage across school buildings
