Step into a pivotal role serving students as a Certified School Nurse/Registered Nurse for the 2026/2027 academic year. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Illinois Professional Educator’s License with Certified School Nurse Endorsement required
  • Prior experience conducting hearing and vision screenings in a school setting is highly valued
  • Competency in updating and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and student health plans
  • Effective communicator with families, students, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated attitude; comfortable being the lead CSN with RN support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and mandated hearing and vision screenings for students
  • Maintain and update IEPs and individual health plans to reflect best practices and current healthcare needs
  • Serve as the primary Certified School Nurse in the district, collaborating closely with a team of school-based RNs
  • Develop and implement health protocols and educational initiatives throughout the school community
  • Act as a liaison among students, families, and health care providers to promote overall student well-being
