Registered Nurse School Setting in Joliet, IL

Step into an essential educational role providing comprehensive health services in an engaging school setting near Joliet, IL. This contract opportunity runs approximately from August 2026 to May 2027 and is centered on supporting the well-being of students through the collective efforts of a dedicated team. Over a 37.5-hour workweek, you will serve as the hub of the health office, ensuring students' needs are met while contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary processes.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid BSN with PEL endorsement required for Certified School Nurse status
• Previous experience as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) strongly preferred
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish are a significant advantage
• Excellent reliability and commitment to strong attendance
• Collaborative spirit, adaptability, and genuine interest in supporting colleagues
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations and school staff

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee daily operations of the health office, administering care and coordinating with students, families, and staff
• Complete thorough medical reviews and maintain detailed health records for compliance and student safety
• Actively partner in IEP and 504 planning and meetings, ensuring medical perspectives are incorporated into student support plans
• Engage with teaching teams and counselors, fostering a positive and cooperative environment
• Educate students and staff about health, wellness, and prevention topics as needed
