Step into a vital role supporting student health and well-being in a school setting as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or CSN student. Two contract opportunities are available in Romeoville, IL, with positions at either the high school (7:15 a.m.–2:25 p.m.) or elementary school (8:25 a.m.–3:40 p.m.) for the 2026-2027 school year (approximately August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027). Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsement for Certified School Nurse (required; note that RN credentials alone are not sufficient)
  • Coursework for CSN endorsement (can take 1–2 years for completion if not already held)
  • Previous CSN experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a significant asset
  • Reliable, flexible, and demonstrated teamwork mindset—essential qualities for success in this role

Major Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage the school health office, handling student needs and daily clinic operations
  • Conduct comprehensive medical reviews for students
  • Serve as an active participant in IEP and 504 plan meetings, ensuring student health supports are addressed
  • Collaborate closely with educators, faculty, and families to support the whole child
  • Maintain excellent attendance and dependability, as students rely on consistent, quality care
