Registered Nurse School Setting in Joliet, IL

What we're looking for:

• BSN degree with a Professional Educator License (PEL) and School Nurse (CSN) endorsement (required; this role is not suitable for RNs, LPNs, or CNAs without this specific credential)
• Experience as a CSN preferred; CSN students currently enrolled in their courses are also encouraged to apply
• Strong initiative, independence, and dedication to follow-through
• Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team—willing to support colleagues as needed
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems; adept at managing digital documentation for IEP and 504 processes
• Willingness to provide personal care support for students, including restroom assistance if required
• Reliable, with strong attendance and commitment to maintaining continuity in student services
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a significant plus

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the health office, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students
• Conduct medical reviews and participate in IEP and 504 plan development
• Provide direct student support throughout the school day, including occasional personal care
• Document care and manage health-related compliance electronically
• Collaborate with a dedicated multi-needs nurse and supportive administrative team
