• Confident working independently—may be the sole nurse onsite in a school
• Strong computer skills for electronic charting and multitasking
• Reliable transportation to travel to various school sites
• Ability to obtain fingerprints specifically for Missouri school requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill in for school nurse absences and accompany students on field trips as needed
• Provide direct care, triage, and chronic disease management in a school health room
• Deliver 1:1 support for students during off-campus school activities
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using district computer charting systems
• Adapt to different schedules based on assignment at elementary, middle, or high school locations
• Participate in a brief district-specific training before starting shifts to learn policies and procedures

Scheduling & Assignment Particulars:

• Schedules vary by school: Middle (7:00-2:30), High (7:30-3:00), Elementary (8:30-4:00 or 9:00-4:30)
• Assignments are coordinated and dispatched via the scheduling app, allowing you to select shifts that work with your timetable
