District Float Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Contract

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time District Float Nurse opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with a variety of medical and specialized needs across multiple school sites within the district.

We are looking for a nurse who is clinically skilled, adaptable, and passionate about helping students with autism, medical disabilities, and other special needs thrive in the educational setting.

Position Details

• Location: Kansas City, MO
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Contract Position through Soliant Education
• District-Wide Float Assignment
• School-Based Setting

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services and health support to students throughout the district.
• Administer and monitor daily medications in accordance with physician orders and district guidelines.
• Perform and oversee multiple G-tube feedings.
• Assist students requiring Hoyer lift transfers, diapering, and other personal care needs.
• Monitor, document, and respond to seizure activity and implement individualized health plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and health documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student well-being.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changing healthcare needs.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric, school-age, medically fragile, or special education populations is preferred.
• Knowledge of G-tube care, medication administration, seizure management, and mobility assistance.
• Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel between district locations as needed.
