School Registered Nurse | Katy, Texas

Make a direct impact within a classroom environment as a dedicated school nurse supporting high school students. This full-time, on-site contract role is based at a Richmond-area high school and requires an RN or LVN with an active professional Texas nursing license. You will work closely with a small group of students, providing essential health services and ensuring seamless integration into their educational experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas RN or LVN license required
• State fingerprinting and background check eligibility
• Previous employment at the district or prior terminations from any district will disqualify candidates (affidavit completion required)
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable assisting with feeding, toileting, and positioning for students with varying needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for high school students within a classroom setting
• Directly support three students as part of a caseload of thirteen
• Administer prescribed medications and manage medical documentation in accordance with school policies
• Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement care plans and support the health of assigned students
• Monitor, assess, and respond to student health needs promptly throughout the school day
• Participate in emergency response and promote a safe, healthy learning environment

Schedule & Assignment Details:

• Full-time only: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Contract dates: ASAP through May 26, 2027
• Single-site assignment at a local high school campus
