Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license valid in Washington state
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to respond quickly in emergencies
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with students, families, and staff
- Compassionate, adaptable, and organized in a fast-paced educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care for students with chronic conditions, injuries, or acute illnesses
- Administer medications and perform medically necessary treatments according to care plans
- Monitor student health trends and communicate concerns with parents, guardians, and staff
- Manage and update individual student health records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Promote wellness through education and preventive health strategies for the school community
- Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, and administrators on student health needs and emergency preparedness
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans as needed
