Registered Nurse School Setting - Kent, WA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license valid in Washington state
• Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong clinical skills, with the ability to respond quickly in emergencies
• Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with students, families, and staff
• Compassionate, adaptable, and organized in a fast-paced educational setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care for students with chronic conditions, injuries, or acute illnesses
• Administer medications and perform medically necessary treatments according to care plans
• Monitor student health trends and communicate concerns with parents, guardians, and staff
• Manage and update individual student health records with accuracy and confidentiality
• Promote wellness through education and preventive health strategies for the school community
• Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, and administrators on student health needs and emergency preparedness
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans as needed
