School Registered Nurse (RN) in Knoxville, TN

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Experience providing nursing care in a school, pediatric, or clinical setting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to assess and address a variety of student health needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including management of chronic conditions, medication administration, and first aid for injuries or sudden illness
• Maintain accurate health records and document all nursing interventions
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff regarding student health plans
• Participate in the development and implementation of IEP/504 healthcare components
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care as needed
• Educate students and staff in health, wellness, and disease prevention
