School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Lake Stevens, Washington

This part-time, contract position offers an engaging environment where your expertise will truly make a difference. We are seeking a flexible and compassionate RN who thrives on variety and enjoys working with students ranging from preschool through young adults (ages 3-22).

As a valued nursing professional, you’ll step in as a substitute RN, serving across all school sites as needs arise. You can count on a guaranteed 25 hours per week but will need to maintain availability between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. to accommodate a range of school schedules. This role is ideal for an adaptable nurse with a passion for helping students of all backgrounds and abilities.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license/certification required
• Experience with school-aged children, from preschool (3 years) through age 22, strongly preferred
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing assignments and student needs
• Skilled at providing compassionate care in a school or pediatric setting
• Reliable, responsive, and committed to student wellbeing
• Previous school nursing experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, medication administration, and health assessments to students
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to promote student health and safety
• Maintain accurate health records and adhere to all relevant laws and school policies
• Travel between schools in the district as a substitute for a variety of nursing assignments
