School Registered Nurse | Lake Zurich, Illinois

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Lake Zurich, IL, for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with work hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You'll work closely with students, staff, and families to provide essential healthcare and support in special education environments, ensuring a safe and welcoming school community.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Prior experience in special education settings or school-based nursing preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and related services staff
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate approach and dedication to student well-being
• Current CPR/BLS certification required

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and health services to students, including medication administration and emergency response
• Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) in collaboration with special education teams
• Support the medical and educational needs of students with disabilities
• Maintain accurate health records and provide documentation as required by school policies
• Act as a liaison with families and care providers, promoting understanding of health plans and student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Educate staff and students on health, wellness, and safety concerns
