Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license required
  • Certified School Nurse credential OR a Master’s degree in School Nursing
  • Experience with school-age populations preferred
  • Demonstrated competency assessing clinical skills in others
  • In-depth knowledge of tracheostomy, gastrostomy tube, and ventilator care procedures
  • Strong organization, communication, and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on assessments of LVNs’ proficiency in tracheostomy, g-tube, and vent-related care
  • Deliver constructive feedback and guidance to LVNs on best practices and clinical protocols
  • Ensure school-based nursing care complies with all relevant state regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with school staff to support a safe environment for students with complex health needs
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and recommendations
