A rewarding opportunity is available for a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Certified School Nurse credential or a Master’s degree in School Nursing to provide skilled nursing assessments in an educational setting. This per diem position is located in Lancaster, CA, serving the specialized health needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive skills assessments for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) in school environments.
  • Evaluate and ensure proficiency in critical nursing skills, including tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube (G-tube) management, and ventilator support.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff to support individualized student health plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance and education to LVNs and other school personnel to uphold the highest quality of care.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid RN license.
  • Certified School Nurse credential or Master's degree in School Nursing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tracheostomy, G-tube, and ventilator care.
  • Strong assessment and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student health and safety within educational settings.
