Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
• Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children (ages 3-18)
• Familiarity with State Health regulations and requirements for schools
• Strong clinical skills, including performing health screenings and basic tests
• Excellent communication abilities to interact with students, families, and educational staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and address the daily health needs of students, responding to injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
• Conduct vision, hearing, and other routine screenings as mandated by school policy and state guidelines
• Keep accurate health records, administer medications, and manage care plans for students with specific medical needs
• Report communicable diseases and maintain required documentation in compliance with state and school protocols
• Serve as a resource for health education, wellness promotion, and emergency preparedness within the school community
