School Registered Nurse (RN) in Lawrence, MA

Embark on an impactful contract position supporting the health and well-being of young students from PreK to 2nd grade for the upcoming school year. In this full-time role, you will serve as the campus nurse, working onsite Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, providing expert care and attention to the school community.

Your expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be valued as you assess, monitor, and address students’ health needs throughout the academic year, from August 17, 2026, through June 18, 2027. Candidates should be prepared to maintain a consistent schedule, as adjustments to working hours are not available for this role.

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN or RN license issued by the state of Massachusetts
• Previous school-based nursing experience required
• Reliable transportation to the campus
• Successful completion of fingerprinting and CORI background checks
• Ability to commit fully to the scheduled hours, with no exceptions
• Comfort and experience working with young children in an educational setting
• Willingness to interview via Zoom

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct health care and administer medications to students and staff as needed
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate interventions
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community
• Communicate effectively with parents, educators, and administrators regarding student health concerns
• Uphold confidentiality and safety standards at all times
