A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed for a contract position to provide one-on-one care during school transportation for a student with type 1 diabetes. This assignment begins promptly and runs for a 45-day period, ensuring a safe and supportive environment from home to River Rock and back each school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred
• Comfortable and confident with diabetes management and blood sugar monitoring
• Exceptional communication and observation skills
• Ability to respond calmly and swiftly to medical needs in a transportation setting
• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a caring, patient demeanor

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide vigilant supervision and medical support for a student with type 1 diabetes during transport hours
• Monitor the student’s blood sugar levels, administer care, and address any issues promptly
• Communicate with school staff, parents, and transportation personnel as needed to ensure student safety
• Maintain accurate documentation of health interventions and observations throughout each shift
• Adhere to all school and nursing protocols and maintain confidentiality at all times

Key Position Details & Schedule:

• Start date: 10/20 (immediate opening)
• Approximate hours: Morning shift (7:00–9:00), afternoon shift (1:00–3:00), no mid-day shift required
• 45-day contract supporting a single student
