This unique contract opportunity allows you to float between PreK-12th grade sites as a general health room nurse. You’ll have the chance to gain experience in multiple school environments, address a variety of student needs, and take on independent responsibility after a supportive two-week training period.

Position Highlights:

• Flexible, site-based schedule Monday through Friday from now through May 22nd, with the potential to extend through ESY (June 1–25, Monday–Thursday)
• Weekly hours will range from 35-40 through the end of the school year, then 22-25 during ESY
• Assignments may include field trips, multi-site coverage, and regular schedule changes based on school demands—ideal for adaptable professionals who thrive on variety
• Weekly schedule provided each Sunday, with possible daily adjustments; excellent communication and adaptability are essential

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Missouri with a clear record—no disciplinary actions
• Recent RN experience with pediatric populations; ICU, ER, or previous school nursing preferred
• Proficient with computer-based charting and able to multitask efficiently in dynamic environments
• Flexible and comfortable working with students from PreK through high school
• Strong communication skills and the ability to independently manage a health room

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive healthcare to students and staff in multiple school settings
• Respond to health-related incidents, administer medication, and ensure student safety
• Maintain accurate electronic records and coordinate with school personnel
• Adjust quickly to schedule or site changes and step into solo nurse leadership as needed
