Key Qualifications:
- Active MO nursing license in good standing (RN or LPN; verified via Nursys)
- Pediatric nursing background—recent experience in school, ICU, or ER settings strongly preferred
- Confidence managing both acute and routine needs independently after training
- Comfortable floating to multiple sites daily, including participation in field trips
- Adept with computers and electronic charting—tech-savvy and organized
- Flexibility with changing weekly schedules and last-minute adjustments
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as a 1:1 nurse for assigned student(s), providing direct care as instructed
- Float between schools as a general health room nurse, covering absences and supporting different grade levels
- Deliver comprehensive health services (medications, treatments, emergency response) across PreK-12 sites
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student health needs
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records
- Support field trips and after-hours activities as needed, sometimes moving between more than one location each day
- Quickly adapt to evolving schedules; weekly assignments are provided Sundays and subject to change
Work Details:
- Immediate start through May 22: 35–40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday
- June ESY (June 1–25): 22–25 hours per week, Monday–Thursday
- Hours vary by school (district typically between 7:00am–4:30pm)
After a collaborative two-week training period, you will manage your assigned site independently. Zoom interviews are happening ASAP, and initial prescreens will be conducted by phone.
