Registered Nurse School Setting - Lemon Grove, CA

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current RN license required
• Clear CSN credential preferred; preliminary CSN or RN candidates encouraged to apply
• Previous school nursing experience strongly valued
• Excellent communication skills for training and consulting with health clerks and school staff
• Experience developing and supporting Individual Health Plans (IHPs) and caring for students with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing support across several school sites within the district
• Train and mentor health clerks regarding student medical needs and protocols
• Offer medical consultation, review student health documentation, and provide hands-on care as needed
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Health Plans
• Serve as a vital resource for students, staff, and families on health-related topics
• Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with district and state guidelines, and help create a safe, supportive school environment

Position Details & Perks:

• Preferred schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with potential increase to 37.5–40 hours/week based on district needs
• Guaranteed 4-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension
