Registered Nurse School Setting in Lewisburg, PA

Embark on a rewarding assignment caring for young learners as a School Nurse within a supportive educational environment this fall. This contract opportunity begins September 8th and runs through October 8th, with a strong chance for extension through the full academic year based on performance and district needs. You’ll work a consistent 37.5 hours per week, providing essential care and serving as an advocate for the health and well-being of children in PreK through 3rd grade—approximately 500 students in a single building.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Pennsylvania
• CSN (Certified School Nurse) credential required
• Prior experience in a school setting, ideally working with early childhood/preK-3 students
• Familiarity with best practices in pediatric nursing and school health care
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver health services such as assessment, first aid, medication administration, and care for students with chronic conditions during the school day
• Maintain comprehensive health records, manage immunization compliance, and respond to urgent health situations with professionalism and compassion
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote a safe and healthy school climate
• Educate staff and families on health-related matters and assist in developing care plans for students with medical needs
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with district and state health guidelines
