Position Details & Schedule

• Full-year role starting July 6th
• Standard shift: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Summer: Early release Fridays at 1:30 PM
• School year: Early release on Wednesdays
• Preferred arrangement: Riding the bus to and from school with the student (alternative available for local candidates for school-day hours only)

What You Bring

• Active and unrestricted RN license (required for school practice)
• Experience or strong interest in working in a school setting with special needs populations
• Demonstrated ability to perform physical lifting and provide wheelchair transfers for toileting
• Proficiency in seizure management and ongoing medical supervision
• Compassionate approach and the ability to communicate effectively with non-verbal individuals
• Comfort collaborating with teachers, aides, and other school professionals

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver daily nursing care to a 20-year-old male student who is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair
• Manage medical needs, including close monitoring for frequent seizures and responding as needed
• Support personal care routines such as toileting and hygiene assistance, including transfers
• Coordinate with educational staff to provide consistent care and promote a safe, supportive learning environment
• Document health and care activities according to school policies
