School RN in Liberty, MO

A full-time Registered Nurse position is available in Liberty, MO, supporting a fourth-grade student with special needs in a school setting. This role requires a nurse comfortable working independently and managing a school nursing clinic, providing direct care, and collaborating with students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized nursing care to a student with complex medical needs, including G-tube feeding, seizure disorder management, and wheelchair assistance.
• Escort the student to and from school, starting the day at the bus barn and riding along to Rising Hill Elementary School.
• Serve as the primary nurse in the school clinic when the student is not present, managing health needs across the district with flexibility for K-12.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and communicate effectively with staff and families.
• Make independent health decisions and manage emergencies as the sole nurse on site.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Missouri RN license with a clean record verified via Nursys.
• Recent pediatric nursing experience, preferably in ICU, ER, or school nursing.
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems and strong multitasking abilities.
• Comfort working independently and flexibility to adapt to varying student and clinic needs.
• Experience with special needs students and complex medical care preferred.
• No new graduates; this role requires demonstrated hands-on nursing experience.

Location & Schedule:

• Liberty, MO, with no travel requirements outside the district.
• Typical schedule is approximately 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM.
• Contract position starting as soon as possible through May 28th.
