As the primary nurse in a building serving students with severe disabilities and significant medical challenges, you will play a critical role in ensuring students’ safety, comfort, and well-being. What You’ll Bring:
- Active RN license and clinical experience, preferably within a school or pediatric setting
- Prior experience managing G-tube feedings and care
- Familiarity with Hoyer lifts, positioning, and diapering for multiple students
- Expertise in administering and documenting daily medications
- Preparedness to respond to and manage seizures calmly and effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and families
- A supportive mindset and willingness to advocate for students with special needs, including those with autism and multiple medical disabilities
- Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine passion for making a difference
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care to students across a broad range of ages and medical needs
- Perform medical interventions including feeding tube support, seizure response, and medication administration
- Ensure safe transfers and hygiene assistance for students with mobility limitations
- Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and support staff for holistic care
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and uphold ethical healthcare standards
