Provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic school setting in Lincoln, MA, supporting a medically fragile student requiring dedicated 1:1 RN support. This full-time travel position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a wheelchair-bound, non-verbal student who uses an iPad for communication
- Perform suctioning and seizure care as part of daily medical requirements
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment
- Provide coverage and nursing support at other schools within the district during student absences, maintaining continuity of care
- Maintain accurate health records and manage emergency procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN license is required; LPN candidates will not be considered
- Experience working with medically fragile pediatric patients preferred
- Proficient in seizure management and suctioning techniques
- Ability to support communication through assistive technology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to provide nursing services in multiple school settings as needed
Location: This assignment is based in Lincoln, MA, with travel opportunities within the district when covering additional schools.
