Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license
- Certified School Nurse credential or Master’s in School Nursing
- Demonstrated proficiency with tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube (g-tube) management, and ventilator support
- Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and document assessments accurately
- Current CPR certification
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform targeted skills assessments for LVNs who care for students with complex health needs
- Evaluate LVN competency with trach, g-tube, and ventilator care protocols
- Maintain detailed documentation of assessments and provide feedback to staff and administration
- Support and advise LVNs on best practices and safety standards
- Collaborate with education and healthcare teams to promote student well-being
