The primary focus for this role is bus riding, ensuring student safety during transportation to and from school.
Key qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric healthcare settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols relevant to school-aged children
- Able to communicate calmly and clearly with students, parents, and school staff
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working a split shift
Responsibilities:
- Ride the school bus each morning and afternoon, supporting students with health concerns and ensuring a safe travel environment
- Respond to minor injuries or medical needs as they arise during transit
- Communicate any relevant health observations or concerns to appropriate school personnel
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Enjoy a mid-day break between morning and afternoon bus routes
