Registered Nurse School Setting - Lockport, NY

This contract assignment offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide dedicated, 1:1 care in a school setting. The student experiences absent seizures, yet remains actively involved in all classroom and extracurricular activities—including participation on the JV football team. Your presence will ensure a safe environment during school hours and football practices.

Schedule details include:

• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday mornings: 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
• Immediate start, continuing through the end of the academic year

Key qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure in New York State
• Previous experience as a school nurse or providing pediatric care preferred
• Confident, compassionate, and attentive to individualized medical needs
• Ability to respond calmly and promptly to medical emergencies
• Strong communication with students, families, and school staff

Core responsibilities:

• Provide vigilant, 1:1 medical care and supervision both during classroom activities and football practice sessions
• Follow the care plan precisely, monitoring for signs of absent seizures
• Communicate and document all care-related observations and interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and parents to support the student’s well-being and active participation in school life
