School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Lowell, Massachusetts

This contract position is crucial for helping a 20-year-old student attend school in Concord, providing essential care and assistance during transportation and throughout the school day. The role involves working approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per day, totaling about 20 hours each week. Whether you are an RN or LPN, your expertise will ensure the student’s well-being and success.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license (Massachusetts)
• Experience in school or pediatric nursing preferred
• Skill in airway management, including suctioning, is essential
• Compassionate, reliable, and comfortable working 1:1 with students who require medical support
• Previous experience with students or young adults with special medical needs is a plus

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to a student during transportation and at school
• Be prepared for and perform routine or urgent suctioning as needed
• Monitor and document the student’s health status and any interventions
• Maintain communication with school personnel and family members
• Deliver care with professionalism and sensitivity to student privacy and autonomy
