Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN or LPN/LVN license in Massachusetts
- Previous nursing experience in a school, pediatric, or similar environment preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and school personnel
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and manage health plans for chronic conditions
- Adaptable and calm under pressure, with excellent organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and manage the health needs of students during the school day
- Administer medications and first aid as needed, following physician orders and school procedures
- Develop, implement, and review individualized healthcare plans
- Communicate with families about student health concerns and coordinate care as necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with state laws and school regulations
- Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics, supporting a safe and healthy campus environment
