Key Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts—required
- Previous experience in school nursing or caring for pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced setting and manage confidential information with professionalism
- Commitment to supporting the health and well-being of students and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health screenings for students throughout the building
- Collaborate daily with other RNs and LPNs to cover all healthcare needs within the school
- Administer medications and first aid as needed in accordance with state and school guidelines
- Maintain clear health records and communicate proactively with families and staff on student health matters
- Provide guidance on health protocols, illness prevention, and emergency response
- Support the overall well-being of the school community during office hours (7:15 am – 2:15 pm, 35 hours/week)
This position offers a clear schedule with no evening or weekend hours, allowing you to achieve work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on students’ lives. The contract duration is approximately 12 weeks, starting as soon as possible.
