Step into a valued role supporting students and faculty as a Registered Nurse in a vibrant high school setting. The assignment runs from ASAP for up to 12 weeks, covering 35 hours per week, with workdays from 7:15am to 2:15pm. You’ll be collaborating closely with other skilled RNs and LPNs to ensure the well-being of the entire school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (required)
- Previous school nursing experience or pediatric care background highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to student health needs
- Compassionate communicator, able to relate effectively with adolescents, parents, and school staff
- Organized, attentive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in maintaining health records and adhering to confidentiality guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for student illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions
- Dispense medications and administer treatments per physician orders and district protocols
- Collaborate with a team of nurses to monitor and support student health throughout the school day
- Serve as a resource for health education, prevention, and wellness initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive, supportive environment for students
