Registered Nurse School Setting in Memphis, TN

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state eligibility)
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or public health setting preferred
• Knowledge of current nursing best practices and state health regulations
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage student health plans and maintain accurate documentation
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Compassion, adaptability, and dedication to supporting children and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications, and manage chronic or acute health conditions during school hours
• Conduct student health assessments and respond to urgent medical situations as needed
• Educate students, families, and staff on wellness, hygiene, and safety topics
• Create and review individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and fellow healthcare professionals to coordinate services
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with district and legal standards
• Participate in student support teams and emergency response drills
