School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Meriden, Connecticut

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN license valid in Connecticut
• Recent experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Thorough knowledge of health regulations, student healthcare plans, and medical documentation
• Strong clinical assessment skills, especially for common childhood illnesses and injuries
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• CPR and First Aid certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily and emergency care to students and staff according to established protocols
• Manage student health records and maintain confidentiality
• Develop and implement individual healthcare plans as needed
• Support medication administration and monitor for side effects or reactions
