An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide vital support at an elementary school near Merrimack, NH. This contract position is designed to offer guidance and care to students during a leave of absence, with coverage required from now through the Christmas Break. Working hours are 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, aligning with the school day for an optimal work-life balance.
Candidates should have a passion for student health and wellness, demonstrating the skills necessary to make a daily difference for young learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric clients preferred
- Strong assessment and triage abilities
- Proficient record-keeping and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer first aid, medications, and routine treatments to students as needed
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans
- Maintain accurate health records and manage documentation for student visits
- Provide health education and preventative care information to students and staff
- Monitor and respond to health concerns or outbreaks, following protocols and guidelines
- Support a safe and healthy school environment
