1:1 Care 1:1 Registered Nurse School Setting - Moravia, NY

Take your nursing expertise to the next level in a rewarding, school-based contract role supporting a bright elementary student. Work one-on-one with a first-grade student as they navigate their day, providing essential tracheostomy care, feeding assistance, and academic support within a friendly, collaborative environment. You’ll ensure the student’s health and safety as they participate in both special education and elective classes, making a real difference in their school experience.

Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30am to 2:30/3:00pm—with the advantage of leaving as early as 2:30pm (with a full day’s pay) once duties are complete. A duty-free lunch is provided, and you’ll be welcomed by a supportive school community.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Active RN license required
• Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Ability to support activities of daily living (feeding, general care)
• Comfortable working one-on-one in an elementary school environment
• Eager to provide supervision during mainstream electives
• Spanish or other language skills highly valued, though not required
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive outlook

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and cleaning the student’s trach, with suctioning as needed
• Providing feeding and ADL assistance
• Helping facilitate a safe academic environment
• Accompanying the student during electives and transitions
• Communicating effectively with school staff and families
