1:1 Care 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) in Moravia, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license and current certification
• Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning required
• Ability to support daily living activities, including feeding
• Capable of offering academic and classroom assistance as needed
• Comfortable supervising during electives and transitions outside the classroom
• Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are an asset
• Compassion, patience, and a nurturing approach

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver vigilant 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day to a non-verbal 1st grade student
• Monitor and maintain the student’s tracheostomy, including regular cleaning and suctioning
• Support the student during meals, classroom activities, and transitions to elective classes
• Collaborate with educational staff to facilitate the student’s learning and participation
• Maintain accurate care documentation and health records
• Supervise and ensure the student’s safety and wellbeing at all times
