1:1 Care 1:1 School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Moravia, New York

Make an immediate impact in a supportive school setting providing essential 1:1 care to an elementary-aged student. This contract opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:30/3:00 pm, with a duty-free lunch included and the ability to finish your workday at 2:30 if responsibilities are completed—while still receiving a full day’s pay. The chosen professional will be matched with a first-grade student who is non-verbal and requires attentive, compassionate nursing care, including trach monitoring/cleaning, suctioning, feeding assistance, and academic support throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN license required
• Previous experience with 1:1 student care in school or pediatric settings preferred
• Skilled in trach care and suctioning
• Comfortable with feeding and assisting with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Able to provide clinical support while promoting the student’s learning and inclusion in mainstream activities
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued
• Empathetic, patient, and able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent, individualized care to the assigned first-grade student during school hours
• Oversee trach safety, maintain hygiene, and perform suctioning as necessary
• Assist with feeding and other ADLs to ensure the student's comfort and well-being
• Ensure supervision and support as the student transitions from the special education classroom to electives
• Collaborate with educational staff to facilitate an inclusive, positive school experience
