Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in California
- Experience in school nursing or a similar pediatric healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to clear a criminal background check and TB risk assessment within 60 days prior to your first day
- Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration and health office protocols
- Commitment to mandated reporting requirements for child abuse under California law
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily health office operations, ensuring a safe and caring environment for students
- Administer student medications according to school policies and medical guidelines
- Conduct California state-mandated hearing and vision screenings for required grade levels
- Provide first aid, manage health emergencies, and communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student wellbeing
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with all regulatory and district reporting requirements
