School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Mountain Top, Pennsylvania

This contract position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide school nursing services in the Mountain Top, PA area. The role focuses on supporting two students: an elementary student who uses a wheelchair and a high school student recovering from a stroke. The nurse will play a key role in managing healthcare needs within the school setting to ensure a safe and supportive environment for these students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students with complex medical needs, including tracheostomies, G-tubes, and diabetes management.
• Monitor and assess student health status; respond to emergencies or changes in condition.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines.
• Offer health education to students and staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania State or Compact Nursing License required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric populations is advantageous.
• Proficiency in managing tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and diabetes preferred.

Location:

• Mountain Top, PA (serving students in the Hazelton school district).
