School Registered Nurse (RN) in Murrieta, CA

Seeking experienced registered nurses to support school health services in a part-time, contract role spanning from August 2026 through June 2027. In this setting, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students, working closely with school staff to deliver essential healthcare services.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California RN license, in good standing
• Experience in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare environment preferred
• Ability to clear a criminal background check and complete a TB risk assessment within 60 days prior to start
• Understanding of California’s mandated reporter requirements regarding suspected child abuse
• Strong communication, organization, and assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the school health office
• Administer student medications per physician and parent instructions
• Perform California-required vision and hearing screenings for specified grade levels
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation as mandated
• Respond promptly to student illnesses, injuries, and health emergencies
• Act as a resource for health education, prevention, and wellness initiatives within the school community
