An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse to provide dedicated nursing care within a school setting located in Nanticoke, PA. This contract position focuses on supporting students with specific medical needs in an educational environment, ensuring their health and well-being throughout the school day.
Primary responsibilities include delivering nursing care for an elementary student who uses a wheelchair and a high school student recovering from a stroke. The nurse will collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans and respond promptly to any medical needs that arise.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Pennsylvania State or Compact Nursing License
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience working with pediatric age groups
- Proficiency in caring for students with tracheostomies, G-tubes, and diabetes is highly preferred
- Ability to administer medications, monitor health status, and provide emergency care as needed
