Working closely with early childhood educators and families, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the student’s well-being, safety, and comfort throughout each school day.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Pediatric or previous school-based nursing experience is highly preferred
• Prior experience delivering 1:1 care is advantageous
• Exceptional communication and partnership skills with children, educators, and parents
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a preschool environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized nursing care to a designated preschool student during all school hours
• Closely monitor the student’s health, responding promptly to unique medical needs in alignment with established care plans
• Safely administer medications and implement any prescribed treatments
• Collaborate daily with teachers, school staff, and guardians to provide holistic support for the student’s development and well-being
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, health changes, and communications
• Promote and uphold a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
