Working closely with early childhood educators and families, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the student’s well-being, safety, and comfort throughout each school day.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Pediatric or previous school-based nursing experience is highly preferred
- Prior experience delivering 1:1 care is advantageous
- Exceptional communication and partnership skills with children, educators, and parents
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a preschool environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized nursing care to a designated preschool student during all school hours
- Closely monitor the student’s health, responding promptly to unique medical needs in alignment with established care plans
- Safely administer medications and implement any prescribed treatments
- Collaborate daily with teachers, school staff, and guardians to provide holistic support for the student’s development and well-being
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, health changes, and communications
- Promote and uphold a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
