Registered Nurse School Setting - Naperville, IL

This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Registered Nurse with school health experience who thrives in an oversight and compliance-driven role. You’ll work closely with school staff, providing essential support to ensure health policies and medication protocols are correctly implemented for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Requirements:

• Active Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation License for a Registered Nurse
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse endorsement
• Previous experience working as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) in an educational setting preferred
• Strong understanding of student medication administration, documentation, and compliance with state and district guidelines
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead for ensuring all health practices and requirements are completed accurately at the campus level
• Complete monthly file reviews (10 hours per month) to verify that all doctor’s orders for medication administration are current
• Conduct regular audits of administered medications to ensure adequate stock and accurate dosing
• Review student health action plans, including those for seizures, allergies, and asthma, to confirm compliance and make sure that all necessary, non-expired medications are readily available
• Provide guidance and support to on-site school health staff to maintain consistent, high-quality care and adherence to health policies
