Exciting opportunities await for compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses interested in supporting student success over the summer. A contract position is available with part-time hours, working closely with students and staff to create a healthier, safer learning environment. Candidates will be joining a collaborative and welcoming school community with various caseloads, serving students from early childhood through eighth grade.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut RN license is required
  • Prior experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong foundation and passion for supporting students with special education needs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
  • Experience with individualized health care plans, emergency protocols, and medication administration in a school environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students as needed
  • Address individual health needs and collaborate with special education staff to ensure students’ IEP needs are met
  • Monitor and manage care for students with chronic health conditions or disabilities
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district policies
  • Engage with teachers and parents to deliver health information or consult on care plans
  • Promote a safe and healthy school culture through education and preventive care
