As a per diem substitute nurse, you’ll step in when the regular school nurse or health room technician is unavailable. While these days may be infrequent, your presence ensures schools maintain the vital health services students depend on.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse (RN) license
• School nursing or pediatric experience is a plus, but not required
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to compassionate, student-centered care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff
• Administer medications and maintain health records in accordance with school policy
• Collaborate with school personnel to support student health needs
• Monitor and respond to student health concerns throughout the school day
• Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations
