Requirements and Desired Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware (or eligibility for reciprocity)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is highly valued
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student health needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate, confidential records
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to students
• Manage and document student health concerns, medications, and care plans
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating with external providers as needed
• Educate students and staff on health practices, wellness, and disease prevention
• Collaborate with faculty, counselors, and parents to support academic success through student wellbeing
• Participate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) when health needs are a factor
• Uphold health regulations and district policies while promoting a safe, inclusive school culture
