This part-time, contract role supports a district’s health services and student care needs during the month of July. With several openings available, this position offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful difference in an educational setting.
Position Highlights:
- Part-time (20 hours per week), onsite role
- Term: July 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026
- Shifts available: Four openings (8:30 AM–12:30 PM) and one opening for a night school nurse (hours to be determined)
- Serve entire school buildings across the district
- Immediate start requires candidates to be credentialed and available to begin promptly
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure and school nurse certification in New Jersey required
- School-based nursing experience mandatory (clinical-only backgrounds not eligible)
- Must be present and work onsite
- Fingerprinting (for both agency and district), TB test, and physical required prior to start
- Prepared for an interview (in-person or via Zoom)
- Able to provide professional support across multiple school locations in the district
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to students and staff during school hours
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and illnesses within school premises
- Monitor, record, and report health data as needed for the district
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and administration to promote student health and safety
