Registered Nurse School Setting - Newark, NJ

Embark on a rewarding school nursing assignment supporting a dedicated student near Newark, NJ! This full-time, onsite contract position offers a stable schedule from 8:45am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday, with approximately 30-32 hours each week. This opportunity runs from ASAP through June 22, 2026, with anticipation of continued need for the following school year.

You’ll provide compassionate, skilled 1:1 care to a male 7th grade student, playing a vital role in his daily school experience. Bus riding is a core responsibility, ensuring safe and comfortable transportation each day.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Valid RN, LPN, or LVN license in New Jersey
• Prior school nursing experience or strong pediatric background
• Demonstrated knowledge in asthma management, seizure response, G-tube feedings, catheter care, and toileting
• Experience providing hands-on care such as diapering and personal hygiene assistance
• Ability to work patiently and supportively in a 1:1 environment
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date health credentials

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and address student healthcare needs throughout the school day
• Bus riding to provide care and supervision during transit
• Proactively respond to asthma events and manage seizure protocols
• Administer specialized medical supports including G-tube feeding and catheters
• Assist with toileting, diapering, and hygiene requirements
• Maintain clear communication with school staff and parents regarding student health
