This contract opportunity is designed for experienced RN or LPN/LVN professionals eager to provide dedicated 1:1 care to a student in a vibrant educational environment just outside Newark, NJ. Your expertise will make a direct impact, offering consistent medical support from bus pick-up through the end of the school day.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license, with standing in good order
• Minimum of one year of pediatric experience (school setting preferred)
• Capable of independent decision-making and responding to emergent needs
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Previous experience in 1:1 roles or special needs support is a plus
• Candidates must not be new graduates

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a designated student, including riding the bus to and from school
• Administer routine and emergency medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
• Monitor and document the student’s health status and report changes to appropriate parties
• Act as a liaison between the school, student’s family, and healthcare providers as needed
• Ensure the student’s health care plan is implemented safely and effectively throughout the day
• Maintain medical records and comply with school health policies
