School Registered Nurse (RN) in Newark, NJ

With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, you’ll enjoy work-life balance while delivering essential care throughout the academic year, with the assignment running through June 25, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey School Nursing RN license (required).
• Demonstrated experience working in school-based settings.
• Strong ability to adapt to and engage within various school environments across a district.
• Reliable transportation for travel between school sites.
• Able to efficiently manage caseloads and oversee health needs across entire school buildings.
• Candidates must reside close to the area and be able to fulfill daily commuting requirements.
• Please note, LPNs are not eligible for this position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide comprehensive health services for students and staff, supporting daily and emergent medical needs.
• Conduct health screenings, manage chronic conditions, administer medications, and develop care plans.
• Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and healthcare professionals regarding student wellness.
• Ensure compliance with district policies and state guidelines for school health.
• Participate in preventative health initiatives and health education programs.

Onboarding Requirements:

• Successful completion of TB testing, physical examination, and fingerprinting (both agency and district level).
